Irma Gigani was born in 1996 in Tbilisi. She was 5 years old when she entered Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili N1 Central Music School. In 2002 she became laureate and winner of Grand prize at Minerbio International Competition, Italy. the same year she participated in the marathon of “Gifted Children” at Liana Isakadze’s International Art festival. In 2003 at the 3rd Republican Competition of musician-Performers 9out of competition due to age) was awarded a special prize by the Embassy of USA in Georgia. Since 2003 she is the participant of the festivals held by V. Spivakov Fund and a scholar of V.Spivakov and UNESCO International Fund.Concerts with : Ankara Simphony Orchastra in Ankara (Tuerkey), organized by V. Spivakov Fund , recital at Nice Opera Theatre ( France, organized by UNESCO. Since 2009 Irma has been studying at Tbilisi V. Sarajishivli Musical Seminary under professor Tengiz Amirejibi. The same year she was awarded with a medal of Cultural Envoy for Exchange and Development. The same year was issued her CD with Israel Camerata (conductor Avner Biron). In 2010 became a laureate and 1st prize winner of F. Chopin Competition in Georgia. Irma Gigani leads an active concert life: (Switzerland, Israel, Italy Germany, Russia , Holand Turkey, Denmark).Since 2013 Irma has been studyng at Tbilisi State Conservatorie under professor Manana Doijashvili.In 2016 Irma was a participant of the music festival “Beethoven Superstar” at the Tel Aviv Museum of Arts. Throughout her career, she has given recitals in numerous Concert halls and has performed with symphonic orchestras alongside famous conductors : Recitals in Big Hall of Moscow Conservatoire with Chamber Orchestra of Bolshoi Theatre,In S.Rachmaninoff Hall, in Tchaikovky Hall, with Presidential Symphony orchestra –conductor Burak Tuzun (Turkey), with E.Mikeladze Tbilisi national symohonic orchestra– conductor Ariel Zuckerman, with Israel Camerata – conductor and music director Avner Biron and so on. By invitation of Shigeru KAWAI Brand, She had recital concerts in Germany.In 2019 Irma had recital at the Naarden International Music Festival (Holland) besides Alexander Melnikov, Hannes Minnar, Alfred Brendel.Since 2019 Irma studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts,(Vienna) under Professor Stefan Arnold.Irma Gigani is a laureate of the Aarhus International Competition (Denmark). She is a second prize winner of the International Piano Competition Les etoiles du Piano , “star of the piano” Lille de France. In 2021, Irma won the 1st Prize and two special prizes at the Bechstein-Bruckner competition (Austria,Linz).2022,2023 Irma was invited and gave recitals at the Mozarthaus Vienna, in France “Hardelot Theater”, at the Festival de Laon with Picardie Orchestra (France) , with Brasov Philarmonic orchestra (Romania), at the Festival Piano Folies (France, le Touquet), at the Tbilisi Piano Festival (Georgia), at the Rathaus,(2023) Musikverein Gläserner Sall (Vienna) and so on.In 2023 she was given assistantship at the Masterclass of Prof. Stefan Arnold in “Haus Villa Marteau” in Lichtenberg/Germany.In September 2023 Irma gave a recital at the historical big hall of Ehrbar Saal, Vienna.In 2024 she is performing in and outside of Europe, (Sweden, France, Georgia, Austria, Germany) including Paris, Salle a Cortot,Tbilisi, Tengiz Amirejibi International Festival and so on.
