Our experts

Dr. Hubertus Schmidke is a forest engineer and MD of SILVACONSULT AG. With more than 27 years of experience, he specializes in remote sensing, geoinformation systems, forest inventory, ecology, management and carbon forestry. He was an external GHG auditor for TUV SUD Munich and involved in CO2 projects worldwide.

Simon Tschendlik is MD of Wald-Klimaschutz Schweiz, a Swiss forest conservation association. A trained forestry engineer, Simon also serves as the head of the largest forestry operation in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft and is a fervent environmental advocate. His career has spanned academic teaching in forestry and nearly five years spearheading a reforestation project in the Philippines. Simon's primary focus lies in climate protection and enhancing biodiversity in forests, particularly in the transitional zones to open lands.
